RÉSUMÉ
The present invention relates to a MACRO-MULTIPHOTON, in particular with SHG modality (MACRO-SHG), that is to say a biomedical imaging installation, able to implement a multiphoton excitation, of a sample comprising intrinsic chromophores sensitive to excitation by excitation photons (1) having an energy chosen to produce emission photons (11), comprising: at least one source (2) capable of producing pulses of synchronized excitation photons (1), – a means (3) of scanning said pulses of excitation photons (1) through a chosen zone of the sample (10), – means (7, 19) for local focusing of said pulses of excitation photons (1) on said sample (10), and – means (6, 17) for directing the emission photons (11) towards at least one collection zone (12, 13, 14, 15, 16). Said focusing means comprise a variable-magnification optical system (zoom) arranged between the scanning means and the sample. The invention also relates to a method of biomedical imaging using such an installation, as well as to its application for mapping the molecules of collagen of a biological tissue, and/or of cellulose and/or of starch of a plant sample without exogenous marker, and in a non-invasive and non-destructive manner.
